Clematis
Mark from the Netherlands

The best way to propogate clematis is to slice into a stem and push it into the ground (keep it attached to the mother plant). Push a couple of sticks diagonally into the ground crossing the planted stem to make sure it stays in place. Keep well watered and after a few weeks it will have grown roots. You can then cut the 'new' clematis from the mother and replant somewhere else.

Sherry from the USA

Every other year I cut my clematis plants down to a couple inches from the ground in late fall, after all growth has turned brown. You won't believe the growth they will put on in the spring. Try this and hopefully they will have more blooms. I also apply Miracle Grow every other week. I usually get a second (smaller)blooming during late summer.
