Lemon Tree
Janette from the USA

I have a Meyer's lemon tree and when it blooms, if there is no bees to polinate it I use some of the male blooms and brush the pollen on the stamen of the female blooms myself. Have grown a lot of lemons that way.

Tina from the USA

It takes lemon trees about 5 years to produce fruit.

The Citrus Limon contains both sexes. To set fruit the insects will pollinate the flowers of your lemon tree. If you have the lemon tree inside you have to pollinate with a small brush by hand.

Important for the lemon trees is a good drainage. Too much water can cause yellow leaves. Also very important is to fertilize with a Citrus fertilizer or some thing like that monthly.
