Wisteria
Mark from the Netherlands

"... Wisteria lose it's leaves/go dormant in winter, or is mine dying?"
Don't worry this is normal. All the leaves fall off and you are left with just the stem. Before any frost arrives you can trim back unwanted growth which is a lot easier without the leaves. In the spring the blue flowers (in dutch the wisteria is called Blue Rain) appear before the leaves - a wonderful sight against the winding gnarled wood.

Jean from Belgium

I planted a Wisteria three years ago and have not given it any special fertilizer I just made sure it was planted in good ground. It did not flower until this year - it is now in full bloom and covers a 6 meter pergola - it's magnificent!
