| Mark from US asks: | I have a corn plant that is 14 years old, it is a single stalk, it has reached a height of approximately 8 feet. What I`m wanting to do is cut it back but not kill it because it has sentimental value. How can I shortened it and it still bloom the green leaf`s? |
| Lois from USA asks: | I too have a corn plant that was healthy for 10 years. I watered it every Friday. The leaves started getting yellow tips, then the whole leaf turned yellow. Some have brown spots. I started to water every other Friday. Still the yellow continues. Any suggestions you have would be appreciated. Thank you |

(in a job that helps your brothers) ooops. sounds like over watering to me. i hope everything works out with that joan! and if not, i agree with bree...sounds like there might be some hornsblende or halite in the soil. good luck. xoxo |

| Yourgarden Specialist Marian says : | When the leaves are turning yellow the problem is mostly over-watering.(Several leaves turning yellow at the same time and falling). I don`t know how often you fertilize but over-fertilizing can also cause yellow leaves. Fertilize about once every 5 or 6 months. |
