OGAB JANGIE from USA (South Florida) asks: Please tell me what is a good fertilizer for Crown of Thorns. I`m a new "plant grower". Thanks.

Yourgarden Specialist Marian says : Best to feed Crowm of Thorns during the growing season. You can either use an all purpose/slow release, or cactus fertilizer. As soon as days shorten, stop feeding.

Carol from Ontario Canada asks: My houseplant Crown of Thorns has no flowers on it and the leave are turning brown. I have had this plant for years. It has always bloomed for me all year long can you help?

Help Carol with an answer

Yourgarden Specialist Marian says : Try misting your plant daily (it rely on moisture that takes in through its leaves), and maybe increase the amount of water you give it each time you water it. Once you have solved the problem that the leafs are turning brown and probably dropping, start feeding your plant monthly with `half-strength` liquid house plant BLOOM fertilizer, to get it to start blooming again. It really should have a little direct sun each day (maybe it gets that already), even if it just an hour or two each day.
