Help aline russell with an answer

Yourgarden Specialist Marian says : You can bring the lemon tree indoors for over-wintering as long as you have a cool, sunny location in which to place it (no more than 6 feet from a sunny window and away from any heat source). Indoors, the tree likes a humidity level of around 50%. Periodic misting will help maintain this humidity level. Sounds like a shock. Check the container for drainage. Citrus do not like "wet" feet. Soil must allow oxygen to get to the roots. Unless temperatures are extremely high, don`t water more than once a week. Compacted soil will also smother roots. Use your finger to check for moisture. If the top three inches are moist, do NOT add water. Also lacking from nitrogen, and or probably other nutrients could cause falling leaves.

Cole Henry from United States asks: My Passion Vine`s leaves keep turning yellow. Is this due to too much/too little water or not enough sunlight? I keep the soil damp, but not too moist. I live in a condo, so it gets some (not alot of sunlight) but I recently added a growth spotlight to supplement this. Does anyone have any suggestions to help me keep this beautiful plant alive and happy?

Earlene McGuire from USA California asks: We planted the tree about 4 week ago her leaves started wilting right after we planted her.We sprayed water on the leaves and they perk right up. but now the leaves are still wilting and they dont perk up. We have gone without watering for several days, and watered her every day.. What makes the leaves wilt> We baught a Van Cherry tree and its doing fine..What do I do to help this little cherry tree. Thanks Earlene

Help Earlene McGuire with an answer

Green Zeus says : I have had this happen, also. The first possibility is that the tree has a fungal disease from the nursery. Fungal diseases cause the leaves to wilt regardless of water. I would have the nursery replace this tree. In my case, I found the problem to be extremely heavy clay. Trees just hate it. I planted an expensive amur cherry and lost it almost right away because I didn`t evaluate the soil in that area well enough. Since that experience I excavated a large and deep area and removed all the clay. I brought in topsoil and mixed it with manure and planted an ornamental peach. It is doing very well in the same area of the amur cherry. So maybe your problem is soil. Also be sure to remove the burlap from the root ball. Some people neglect to do this and that will kill a tree. Also, when you plant a tree or shrub, mix some Miracle Grow or other dilute fertilizer into the water. It seems that it helps the plant with transplant shock.

Alan Seagrave from USA asks: I recently purchased a home surrounded by Cedar trees. I would like to plant some dwarf fruit trees, but I have been told that the Cedar trees will have an adverse affect, either no fruit or deformed unedible fruit. Is this true? Is there any variety of dwarf fruit tree that is immune to the effects of the Cedar trees?

Help Alan Seagrave with an answer

Yourgarden Specialist Marian says : The cedar trees are the alternate host of some diseases. Such as fungal disease/foliage rust diseases , cedar-apple rust and fruit rust diseases. They spread those diseases out so that those disease can attack fruit trees. The best prevention is to plant resistant cultivars such as `Red Delicious`, `Early McIntosh`, `Freedom`, `GrannySmith`, `Liberty`, `NorthwesternGreening`, `NovaEasygrow`, `Priscilla`, `Redfree`, `Sharon` and `Sir Prize`.
